Using the Interpretation Distribution Server (IDS)

Steps for taking the floor / asking a question with Teams and IDS (downloadable powerpoint).

1. Raise your hand in Teams meeting and wait for the floor.
2. Mute audio in IDS (Interpretation Distribution Server).
3. Open your microphone in Teams meeting.
4. Remember to mute your Teams microphone after your speech.

Using IDS with Win/Mac + Chrome browser

1. Open Chrome browser
2. Go to the IDS address given by your meeting organiser.
3. Enter username and password, click ”Login”
4. Select language from dropdown menu and click ”Start listening”

You can mute the audio by clicking ”Mute audio” button. This might be needed it when you start talking into video conference. Otherwise you will hear your own voice with small delay. Remember to mute your microphone again after your speech.

Using IDS with an iPhone

1. Open Safari browser
2. Go to the IDS address given by your meeting organiser.
3. Enter username and password, click ”Login”
4. Select language from dropdown menu and click ”Start listening”

3. Click the speaker icon to mute the Teams meeting audio
